The Company
was founded in 1951 by Wilhelm Eschweiler. In the same year the worldwide first commercially manufactured apparatus - made by ESCHWEILER - for measuring oxygen pressure was introduced to the market: The very first beginning of blood gas analysis at all (Historic facts).

In close cooperation with scientific and clinical research departments the ESCHWEILER company is continuously engaged in decisive developments in the field of blood gas- and electrolyte analysis. Improvement of measuring methods and automatisation always are the priorities in order to offer reliable and easy to operate analysers for clinics, medical practices and laboratories.
